Sacristy

We are in the Sacristy of the church of La Pietat. This room with its groin vault was built in the late 18th century.

The room is dominated by an impressive piece of furniture dating from the 18th century. It was designed and made specially for use in the sacristy to store vestments, chalices and other liturgical objects. The sacristy was also where the priest and the sacristan vested and prepared for the service.
