Vic, art and history. A fantastic journey back in time!<\/em><\/h2>\n

Guided tour<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Vicpuntzero space is presented as an imaginary stage, a space of fantasy where every corner reveals surprising hidden aspects of the city’s past.<\/p>\n

The MEV, on the other hand, houses an outstanding collection that allows us to immerse ourselves and discover Vic and its history. In this activity, through the historical and artistic vestiges that are preserved, we will take a journey through history right from the origin of the city of Vic.<\/p>\n

From the Roman world to the present day, we will travel 2,000 years back in search of the traces of our ancestors. Throughout this trip we will acquire different elements that we will collect and end up building a great timeline that portrays the historical evolution of the city.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Following the heartbeat of the stones<\/em><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Archeology workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main aim of this workshop is for students to understand the importance of remains in understanding urban area. Thus, they will become archaeologists and archaeologists specialised in various disciplines (ceramics, physical anthropology, etc.) and, working together will have to study and geolocate the pieces, it will be possible to recreate the history of daily life of each of the spaces present in the Vicpuntzero, from Roman times to the 18th century.<\/p>\n

So, first of all the students will be shown around the site in ordre to familiarise themselves. Later they will work in groups, studying the reproductions of the pieces found at the archaeological site and use a basic geolocating system. Lastly, they will look at ways of sharing information about the heritage found in the archaeology rooms of the MEV.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We reveal traces of art and history!<\/em><\/h2>\n

 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Art workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n

Putting ourselves in the shoes of those illustrious citizens of Vic who, at the end of the 19th century, began to show an interest in the history of the city, we will travel back to the time of the Renaixen\u00e7a and discover our past through the remnants, places or elements that are hidden within it. The Roman temple, the walls of the Montcada castle, the MEV, and La Pietat church are some of the spaces that tell us about more than two thousand years of history and through which we will travel back in time.<\/p>\n

Finally, using primitive printing techniques, such as the camera obscura<\/em> – one of the ancestral devices that contributed to the development of photography – we can print out traces of art and history and we take home the pieces that we liked most.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
